In the world of Freemasonry, dedication and commitment are values held in high regard. It is a fraternity built on brotherhood, integrity, and selfless service. Today, Brother Paul Charles Franke, was presented with his well-deserved fifty-year Golden Veteran’s Award by Pearl Harbor Lodge F&AM.

Brother Paul Charles Franke’s journey in Freemasonry began five decades ago, marked by a deep-rooted commitment to personal growth, community involvement, and the pursuit of Masonic ideals. His initiation into Pearl Harbor Lodge F&AM symbolized the start of a lifelong journey of enlightenment, brotherhood, and service to others. Since then, Brother Franke has exemplified the virtues of Freemasonry in his everyday life, fostering harmony, compassion, and integrity.

Throughout his half-century affiliation with Pearl Harbor Lodge F&AM, Brother Franke has actively participated in numerous initiatives, demonstrating his leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to the craft. His contributions extend far beyond the walls of the lodge, as he tirelessly engaged in community outreach programs, charity events, and Masonic education, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals.

As we celebrate Brother Franke’s remarkable achievements, it is important to recognize the qualities he embodies as a Freemason. Brother Franke’s commitment to truth, morality, and brotherly love serves as an inspiration to all Freemasons and reinforces the fundamental principles of the craft. His unwavering dedication to personal growth and the pursuit of knowledge has not only enriched his own Masonic journey but also inspired fellow brethren to embrace self-improvement and seek enlightenment.

The Lodge of Military Tribute is a public ceremony usually performed in a Masonic Lodge hosted by members of the National Sojourners in colonial regalia (or in their military uniforms) designed to attract and recognize military veterans. Accordingly, the ceremony may be used to introduce prospects to the Craft. Note that the ceremony may alternatively be used to recognize all Masons who have served in our armed forces.

Typically, the ceremony is utilized for Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Veterans Day or other appropriate occasion. The last Lodge of Military Tribute Ceremony was held on November 8th, 2018, a few days before the centenary of the end of the First World War. This project was a collaboration between members of the National Sojourners, Heroes of ‘76, and promoted by the brethren of Pearl Harbor Lodge and of Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie.

After three years since the breakout of Covid-19, both Pearl Harbor Lodge and the National Sojourners express the desire to hold one again, with Honolulu Lodge having the honor of co-hosting the event.

Once again, the event is open to the public, therefore even candidates, knockers, non-Masons, friends and families are invited to attend. But an RSVP will be required to help our Stewards and their crew know how many to cook for. Congratulations to Worshipful Bro. Aaron Daguio, PM, on being awarded the prestigious Mckee Award by Pearl Harbor Lodge. The Mckee Award is a Grand Lodge of Hawaii award that may be requested and awarded for dedicated service. The award takes its name from the first Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Hawaii, William McKee Jr.
