The Lodge of Military Tribute is a meaningful public ceremony, traditionally performed in a Masonic Lodge and hosted by members of the National Sojourners. Participants don colonial regalia or military uniforms to honor and recognize the sacrifices of military veterans. This powerful tribute also serves as an introduction to Freemasonry for prospective members and a way to honor all Masons who have served in our armed forces.
Typically held on significant dates such as Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Veterans Day, or other commemorative occasions, the ceremony fosters deep respect for those who have served our country. The most recent Lodge of Military Tribute was held on November 8th, 2018, just days before the centenary of the end of World War I. This event was a collaborative effort between the National Sojourners, Heroes of ‘76, and was proudly promoted by Pearl Harbor Lodge and Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie.
After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pearl Harbor Lodge and the National Sojourners are eager to bring this cherished tradition back. This time, Honolulu Lodge has the honor of co-hosting the event, continuing the spirit of brotherhood and remembrance.
The ceremony is open to the public, welcoming candidates, visitors, non-Masons, friends, and families alike. To help with planning and catering, attendees are kindly asked to RSVP by May 25th. Please send your reservation to Senior Steward Brother Jesus de Garcia of Honolulu Lodge F&AM.
We invite everyone to join us in paying tribute to our veterans and celebrating the enduring values of service and brotherhood.
